Born From Our Heart
Some businesses begin with a business plan.
Ours began with a little boy.
Nico Boutique is named after our son, Nicolás - our beloved Nico - who came into our lives through adoption in 2017. Long before he arrived home, he had already found a place in our hearts.
Like many parents, we searched everywhere for timeless, beautifully made clothing, especially for boys. Finding premium European children’s fashion was not easy, and that search planted the first seed of what would later become Nico Boutique.
In 2018, life took an unexpected turn when I was diagnosed with cancer. Over the years that followed, my perspective on life, family, and time changed profoundly. While continuing treatment, I began imagining something meaningful that I could build with Nico - something we could share, enjoy, and grow together as a family.
After years of practicing law, I made the difficult decision to step away from much of my litigation practice and significantly reduce my legal work to dedicate myself to this new chapter. Nico Boutique became more than a creative project. It offered our family an additional source of stability while allowing us to build something rooted in love, purpose, and togetherness.
The idea began taking shape in 2022, and on June 1, 2023, Nico Boutique officially opened its doors.
In early 2025, our family faced another unexpected chapter when my cancer returned with metastatic disease. Once again, life asked us to adapt.
What began as a small business became a true family project. Each of us became involved in different ways, supporting one another and working together toward a shared dream. On the hardest days, Nico Boutique has given me something invaluable: hope. It has kept me creating, planning, dreaming, and believing in the possibility of continuing to grow.
Over time, that support extended beyond our own family. Through our collaboration with Carmen Chirino Boutique, Nico Boutique found a physical home for part of our collections and became connected to a wider community that welcomed and supported our vision. Their encouragement helped our story cross the boundaries of our own home and reminded us that meaningful projects are often built not only by families, but also by the people and communities who believe in them.
Today, every collection is carefully curated from exceptional brands chosen for their quality, craftsmanship, and timeless style. Every piece reflects the same care we searched for when dressing our own son.
Nico Boutique is more than children’s clothing.
It is our family’s story of love, resilience, community, and hope.
